The United Kingdom has decided to switch service providers for handling visa applications from Algerians. Previously carried out by TLScontact, the collection of UK requests in Algeria will now be carried out by a new service provider.
Entrusted since 2014 to TLScontact, the collection and handling of UK visa applications (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) will now change hands. From now on, Algerian applicants must use the services of a new service provider to submit their visa applications to the UK.
In fact, in a press release published on its Facebook page, TLScontact announced the permanent closure of its centers for the UK in Algiers and Oran from November 19 and the transfer of the processing of visa applications to VFS Global. “Our center will close on 19 November 2024 and our UK visa processing services will be transferred to VFS Global,” says TLScontact.

From 22 October 2024, UK visa applicants will no longer be able to access their accounts on the TLScontact website, after which the transfer to VFS Global will begin. If an applicant has already booked a “Self Service” appointment, they must upload all supporting documents by this date. “We will continue to process all scheduled deals until November 19, 2024. All deals after this date must be made with VFS Global,” the press release said.
If an agreement has already been made with TLScontact, it is not necessary to change. “Your appointment will take place as planned in our visa center. However, if a decision on your request is not made before our center closes, your file and all associated documents will be securely transferred to VFS Global. VFS will contact you when your travel document is ready to be sent or picked up at their new centre,” emphasizes TLScontact.
In the event that a decision regarding the request is not made before the closure of the TLS Contact Center, the file and associated documents will be transferred to VFS Global. “You must collect your travel document before 19 November 2024. If this does not happen, the document will be sent to the new VFS Global visa center where you must collect it,” says TLScontact.
