Visa agreements for Algerians are changing for this Schengen country

Algerians wishing to travel to Poland will face new developments in making visa appointments. The Polish Embassy in Algeria has just announced a simplification of the national visa application procedure, especially in terms of making an appointment.

The new fully automatic procedure should make it possible to significantly reduce waiting times and streamline administrative procedures. “We inform you that the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Algeria has introduced the change in the agreement system for submitting applications for the Polish national visa (the change does not apply to work visas and students) and Schengen visas,” it says.

Therefore, only national visas and Schengen visas are affected by these changes. The new appointment booking system allocates slots automatically and according to the order of requests. This way of doing things guarantees equal treatment for each applicant and eliminates the risk of favouritism. “The new system relies on getting the relevant visa appointment dates in the order you are registered in the system. Dates will be assigned by the system once a week and information about an assigned appointment date will be sent to interested parties via email,” the statement said.

Visa agreements are granted automatically

In the past, many applicants had difficulty finding a place to submit their applications. With the new system, each applicant will be informed via e-mail, which should reduce waiting times and simplify administrative procedures. It is important to note that these changes mainly apply to tourist and family visas.

Automating the process should also provide more transparency. Applicants are automatically notified of their visa appointment, eliminating the need to contact the embassy for information. Dates will be assigned on a regular basis, allowing registrants to expect to receive a proposal based on availability.

No change for students and workers

It is important to clarify that “registrations will be available from 14 October 2024” and that these new rules do not relate to work and study visas. Algerian students and workers must continue to follow the usual procedures to obtain their visa agreements.

Finally, the Polish embassy in Algeria emphasizes that “each person will receive a proposal for a meeting date depending on the number of participants. Please do not send requests to the e-mail address of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Algiers regarding your appointment date, but wait for the e-mail confirming your appointment date assigned by the system.”
